Why do I need therapy?
The choice to pursue therapy is a very personal one. There are multitudes of reasons why people seek the services of a nonjudgmental person to help them process significant personal issues. It often helps to just talk about something and to get feedback. Often times we are unable to see the answers that we seek because we are too close to the issue. By allowing someone who is skilled in assisting others with issues and who has clinical training, you are taking a step in healing. Sometimes the thought of sharing one’s innermost thoughts with family and friends is a frightening idea. Therapy sessions are held in a relaxing atmosphere without pressure. The therapeutic relationship is important. It is key that you find someone that you are comfortable with so that you are able to begin you journey.
